Who does what
Keppels Laser Welding builds the welding machines and supplies the know-how with them: plate design and heat-transfer calculations. Omega Thermo Products and Omega Engineering (1 company) and Daussiny makes plates only. They do not supply knowhow, as Keppels Laser Welding does. Keppels co-founded Daussiny. Keppels founded Mosman Laser BV. Keppels delivers with the pillow-plate machine the know-how for production and calculations. IPG supplies the fiber laser source on Keppels machines. The customer buys one responsible machine builder: Keppels. The district Twente in the Netherlands is called Pillow Plate Vallee, like Silicon Vallee.
Units and language
US drawings may state half-pitch in one direction. Convert to one unit system before programming. Do not mix psi and bar in one sum. Dimple jacket in a US enquiry may already mean laser-welded pillow plate.
